The 2-Piece Stainless Steel Ball Valve is a heavy-duty isolation valve designed for reliable shut-off in industrial, commercial, and general service applications. Manufactured from ASTM A351 CF8M stainless steel, it provides excellent corrosion resistance and dependable performance across a wide range of compatible media.
Featuring a full bore design, this valve allows maximum flow through the pipeline with minimal pressure drop, making it ideal where flow efficiency is important. The PTFE seats, blow-out proof stem, and investment cast body provide strong sealing performance and long service life.
The lockable lever handle allows the valve to be secured in the open or closed position, making it suitable for applications where valve operation needs to be controlled, restricted, or clearly isolated.
This valve is constructed with a 316 stainless steel body and ball (ASTM A351 – CF8M), offering excellent corrosion resistance for industrial and general-purpose fluid systems. It also uses PTFE seats for strong chemical resistance and sealing performance.
The valve is available in sizes from 8 mm to 100 mm and comes with BSP-threaded ends built to BS 21:1973 standards for reliability in threaded piping setups. Optionally, NPT threaded ends can be provided if required.
A ball valve is a type of valve that controls the flow of liquids or gases by rotating a ball with a hole (the port) inside. When the port aligns with the flow path, fluid passes through; when it’s turned 90°, the port is perpendicular and stops flow. The lever handle usually indicates whether the valve is open (parallel to the pipe) or closed (perpendicular).
Ball valves are widely used for on/off flow control in pipes across various industries — including water distribution, oil & gas, chemical plants, HVAC systems, and general industrial piping — because they offer quick shut-off and reliable sealing.
Full bore valves have a hole the same diameter as the pipe ID, so flow is unrestricted and pressure drop is minimal. Reduced bore valves have a smaller internal port, which can slightly restrict flow in some systems.
