Description

The 3-Way Stainless Steel Ball Valve is a compact multi-port valve designed for flow diversion, mixing, or distribution duties in industrial, commercial, and general process applications. Manufactured from ASTM A351 CF8M stainless steel, it provides excellent corrosion resistance and reliable performance across a wide range of compatible media.

The T-port design allows more flexible flow path arrangements compared with an L-port valve, making it suitable where flow may need to be directed between multiple ports, combined, or distributed depending on the handle position.

Featuring a reduced bore design, PTFE seats, and a blow-out proof stem, this valve provides dependable shut-off and flow control performance in a compact design. The lockable lever handle allows the valve position to be secured where controlled operation or clear isolation is required.

BSP threaded ends are supplied in accordance with BS 21:1973.

What is an L-port 3-way ball valve used for?

An L-port 3-way ball valve is designed to divert flow between two outlets or select between two flow paths. It allows flow from one inlet to either of two outlets, but not to both at the same time. This makes it suitable for flow direction change or line selection applications.

What is the difference between an L-port and a T-port 3-way valve?

An L-port valve allows flow in an “L” shape, meaning it diverts flow from one port to another. A T-port valve can allow mixing or simultaneous flow to multiple ports depending on ball configuration. L-port valves are typically used for diverting, while T-port valves are used for mixing or distribution.

What does reduced bore mean on a 3-way ball valve?

A reduced bore valve has an internal port size smaller than the pipe’s internal diameter. This design is compact and economical, and is commonly used where full flow capacity is not critical and space savings are beneficial.

What materials are used and what are their benefits amplify?

The valve body is manufactured from ASTM A351 CF8M (316 stainless steel), which provides excellent corrosion resistance and durability. PTFE seats offer low friction, chemical compatibility, and reliable sealing across a wide range of fluids and temperatures.

What is the purpose of the lockable lever?

The lockable lever allows the valve handle to be secured in a fixed position using a padlock. This helps prevent accidental operation, improves safety, and is especially useful during maintenance, isolation, or process control applications.
