What is a wafer butterfly valve used for?

A wafer butterfly valve is used for flow control and shut-off in piping systems. Its slim, compact design allows it to be installed between flanges, making it ideal for applications where space is limited while still providing reliable isolation and throttling performance.

What are the benefits of an EPDM seat?

An EPDM seat provides excellent sealing performance, flexibility, and durability. It is well suited for water, air, and many non-aggressive fluids, ensuring a tight, leak-free seal and long service life in general industrial and commercial applications.

Why is a cast iron body commonly used for butterfly valves?

Cast iron offers good mechanical strength, durability, and cost efficiency for moderate pressure systems. It is widely used in water treatment, HVAC, and general process applications where dependable performance is required.

What does lever operation offer compared to gear operation?

Lever operation allows quick and simple manual opening and closing, making it ideal for smaller valve sizes and applications requiring frequent operation. The lever also provides clear visual indication of valve position.

What flange standards is this valve compatible with?

Compatibility with AS2129 Table D/E and ANSI B16.5 Class 150 flanges ensures the valve can be installed in a wide range of pipeline systems, providing secure alignment and reliable sealing across common industry standards.
