Description

The Ductile Iron Wafer Knife Gate Valve is a durable and economical isolation valve designed for industrial, wastewater, slurry, and general process applications. Featuring a ductile iron body, SS316 disc, and NBR seat, this valve provides reliable shut-off performance in suitable services involving liquids, slurries, and suspended solids.

Knife gate valves are commonly used for on/off isolation, particularly where the media may contain solids or where a compact valve design is required. The wafer end connection allows the valve to be installed between compatible flanges, providing a space-saving solution for pipework systems.

This valve is designed and manufactured to MSS SP-81, with face-to-face dimensions to MSS SP-81-2001 and pressure/temperature rating to ISO 7005-1, 10 bar. It is suitable for BS Table D and Table E flange patterns.

The valve is supplied with manual handwheel operation.

What is this ductile iron wafer knife gate valve used for?

This valve is used for on/off isolation in industrial, wastewater, slurry, water, and general process applications. It is suitable where a compact valve design is required between flanges.

Is this valve suitable for slurry or suspended solids?

Yes. Knife gate valves are commonly used in slurry and suspended solids applications because the gate design is suited to media that may contain heavier particles or debris.

What is the body material?

The body is manufactured from ductile iron, providing a strong and durable construction for suitable industrial and utility applications.

What material is the disc?

The disc is SS316 stainless steel, offering good corrosion resistance and durability in compatible services.

What seat material does this valve use?

This valve is supplied with an NBR seat, which is suitable for many water, wastewater, air, and compatible oil applications. Media compatibility should be checked before selection.

What flange standards does this valve suit?

The valve is designed to suit BS Table D and BS Table E flange patterns. Its wafer body is installed between compatible flanges.

How is this valve operated?

This valve is supplied with manual handwheel operation. The handwheel allows the operator to open and close the knife gate manually.
