The Normally Closed 316 Stainless Steel Solenoid Valve is an electrically operated valve designed for automatic on/off control of potable water and compatible media. Manufactured with a 316 stainless steel body and EPDM seat, this valve provides excellent corrosion resistance and reliable sealing performance in suitable water service applications.
The valve is normally closed, meaning it remains closed when de-energised and opens when power is supplied. This makes it suitable for applications where flow should only occur when the valve is powered.
Featuring a servo-assisted operation, the valve uses line pressure to assist opening and closing, making it suitable for applications with a minimum pressure differential. The valve is available in 1/2″ to 2″ BSP sizes and operates within a pressure range of 0.25 to 16 bar.
Normally closed means the valve stays closed when there is no power. When power is applied, the valve opens.
It is used for automatic on/off control of potable water and compatible media in water systems, treatment systems, irrigation, tank filling, and general industrial water service.
The valve body is made from 316 stainless steel, providing excellent corrosion resistance for suitable water and compatible fluid applications.
This valve uses an EPDM seat, which is commonly used for potable water and general water service applications.
The valve operates within a pressure range of 0.25 to 16 bar.
Servo assisted means the valve uses line pressure to help open and close. It requires a minimum pressure differential to operate correctly.
This valve is available in 1/2″ to 2″ BSP threaded sizes.
