The Normally Open 316 Stainless Steel Solenoid Valve is an electrically operated valve designed for automatic on/off control of potable water and compatible media. Manufactured with a 316 stainless steel body and EPDM seat, this valve provides excellent corrosion resistance and reliable sealing performance in suitable water service applications.
The valve is normally open, meaning it remains open when de-energised and closes when power is supplied. This makes it suitable for applications where flow should continue by default and only stop when the valve is energised.
Featuring servo-assisted operation, the valve uses line pressure to assist opening and closing, making it suitable for applications with the required minimum pressure differential. The valve is available in 1/2″ to 2″ BSP sizes and operates within a pressure range of 0.3 to 16 bar.
Normally open means the valve stays open when there is no power. When power is applied, the valve closes.
It is used for automatic on/off control of potable water and compatible media in water systems, treatment systems, irrigation, tank filling, and general industrial water service.
The valve body is made from 316 stainless steel, providing excellent corrosion resistance for suitable water and compatible fluid applications.
This valve uses an EPDM seat, which is commonly used for potable water and general water service applications.
The valve operates within a pressure range of 0.3 to 16 bar.
Servo assisted means the valve uses line pressure to help open and close. It requires a minimum pressure differential to operate correctly.
This valve is available in 1/2″ to 2″ BSP threaded sizes.
