Electric Actuators
Just Valves supplies electric actuators and gearboxes for automating quarter-turn and multi-turn valves across industrial, mining, water, and process applications. Multi-turn electric actuators are suitable for on/off or modulating service and feature modular polyphase motor, controls, and switches with plug-in connectors for straightforward maintenance. Worm gearboxes extend the actuator to drive quarter-turn valves, dampers, and gates. Just Valves also provides full planning, commissioning, repair, and maintenance support for all actuated valve packages.
How it works
An electric actuator converts electrical energy into rotary or linear mechanical movement to open or close a valve. Multi-turn actuators drive gate, globe, and rising stem valves through multiple shaft rotations. Quarter-turn actuators drive ball and butterfly valves through a 90-degree arc. Modulating actuators position the valve at any intermediate point in response to a 4-20mA or digital control signal. Integrated torque sensing, limit switches, and position feedback protect both valve and actuator from overload.

Overview
Pneumatic Actuators
Just Valves pneumatic actuators are designed to be compact, durable, and versatile. Available in double-acting and spring-return configurations, JV Series actuators provide quarter-turn movement for on/off or modulating duty on ball valves, butterfly valves, dampers, and gates. Five body sizes produce torque output up to 3,500 Nm at operating pressures up to 12 bar. Just Valves specialises in complete actuated valve packages — supplying and fitting solenoid valves, limit switches, position indicators, gearboxes, and visual indicators as a single fully assembled and tested solution.
How it works
A pneumatic actuator uses compressed air to drive a piston or rack-and-pinion mechanism, converting air pressure into rotary shaft movement. Double-acting actuators use air to both open and close. Spring-return actuators use air to move in one direction and a pre-tensioned spring to return — providing fail-safe open or fail-safe closed on loss of air supply. The scotch-yoke principle gives high torque at both end positions where valve torque demand is highest.
